Adventure Shakespeare is a thrilling 12-week afterschool program where students dive into Shakespeare through stage combat, expressive movement, visual art, and creative collaboration. Our program brings the magic of theater to life while nurturing confidence, teamwork, and imagination.

Guided by an award-winning fight choreographer with credits at The Geffen Playhouse, Steppenwolf, and major films; a dynamic Shakespeare educator with a BA in Theatre and Dance and over eight years of teaching experience; and a lifelong artist and nonprofit leader who has founded K-5 arts programs and mentored young creatives our exceptional team empowers every student to build confidence, creativity, and community. Whether performing a duel, designing a scene, or speaking the Bard’s words for the first time, each child is celebrated, supported, and inspired to shine.

Co-Founder & Artistic Director

Mary Elizabeth Caverly

A seasoned Shakespeare instructor with eight years of experience teaching elementary and middle school students. As a multi-talented artist with a background in theater, dance, and fine art, she brings an immersive and creative approach to Shakespearean education.

Ned Mochel

A professional actor and fight choreographer with extensive experience working with kids in theater. With years of teaching Shakespeare, he combines his expertise in performance, stage movement, and storytelling to help students gain confidence and a deeper appreciation for the Bard’s work.

Patricia (Trish) Doktor

A lifelong artist, illustrator, and educator who has founded arts programs for K–5 students, developed curriculum and branding for several nonprofits, and continues to empower young learners through coaching, creative instruction, and nonprofit fundraising.
